Am i being greedy about wanting to share my good news now

My fiance and i live together. And i want to be a singer. I found out i was invited to monteray to film a music video for a song i wrote. Im stoked!! I txt my fiance to let him know. Got no answer. Whenever he doesnt answer i get nervouse. So i called him. He was on the phone with an old friend he said. He said he would call back when hes off. Hes been on the phone for 2 hours!! This makes me nervouse and kind of upset because even though we live together , id like to tell him the good news now. Am i being greedy? I feel my news is important for my futer and career!! But i dont feel supported because i havent gotten a reply. Am i being greedy?
