Best way to style my hair to look like zac efron?

i have similar hair like his, straight, smooth. but rather dark. I am getting a haircut tomorrow(though not cutting my bangs) and i want to know what to say to my hair stylist(printer broke, so no picture to take to her) and what kind of gel can i get that doesnt make my hair hard and flaky but lets its move a little with the wind but not out of place.
