Is piercing own cartilage safe??

Well a month ago i get my second whole pierced and im 14yrs old and it healed properly but now i want my cartilage pierced and i asked my parents and they said NO. But i really want it pierced but im scared of an bad infection but what if im lucky enough to not get an infection???? so now im thinking bout piercing it myslf bcuz 3 of my frenz did theirs theyslf and it turned out fine but wat if my luck turnz bt idk wat 2 do:( can sum1 plz hlp me:)
